Transport and Touring

Driving:  Cooma is just a 5 hour drive south from Sydney, 1 1/2 hour from Canberra and just over 1 hour to the coast.

Air: Aeropelican offers flights from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains Airport six days per week, except Saturdays starting from $129.00 

Canberra Airport is just 1 hour from Cooma. Charter coach services are available from Canberra Airport to Cooma throughout the year. A regular bus service is available during winter time only from the airport to Cooma and the ski resorts.  Car Hire is also available from Canberra airport.

Coach:  Bus services to Cooma run throughout the year. Increased services through to the ski resorts run during winter time only. Contact the Cooma Visitors Centre for further information and timetables.

Rail:  Train services operate daily Sydney to/from Canberra and Melbourne to/from Bairnsdale with a coach service then available to and from Cooma.  The services are provided by Countrylink and V-line.

Car Hire:  While in Cooma car hire is available from Hertz Car Rental and Highway Rentals offer car, truck & trailer rentals from Cooma.
